TRUE SATISFACTION
Be
satisfied!
The words came suddenly—
As if in answer to my fervent prayer
That I might wake to see
More clearly Love's reality.
Be satisfied?
How can I be in a troubled world,
With longings unfulfilled and faith grown dim?
But once again words seemed to come:
If you would know where satisfaction lies,
Then seek it not in worlds stretched out
Before your human eyes:
But in the quiet listening
That is part of all true prayer:
And waiting, trusting, joyous.
You will find your answer there.
