I am impelled from the depths of...

I am impelled from the depths of my heart to express my thanks here for all the good I have experienced through Christian Science.

In 1937 I came to Christian Science. I was not ill, but I was full of troubles, depression, and beliefs of lack. Today the glory of the Lord fills my consciousness, and I am thankful for all the joy and bliss which I feel through the conviction of man's oneness, or unity, with the Father. In the Bible we read (Phil. 4:4), "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say Rejoice."

Over three years ago I had a broken wrist. I made it clear to myself that in the Divine Being there are no accidents. On the basis of the allness of God, Spirit, I denied matter and endeavored with rejoicing to obey Mrs. Eddy's exhortation on page 249 of Science and Health: "Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy. Let us rejoice that we are subject to the divine 'powers that be.'"
