My introduction to Christian Science...
My introduction to Christian Science came through a Sentinel. A woman exploring the territory in which I lived some thirty years ago entered by mistake the path leading past the rear of our house. She had to pass the living room windows, and my mother saw her. Thinking she was a friend, she called to her to come in.
The woman replied, "I am not the person you called, but I would like to come in." It was a hot and humid day; and upon entering the room, the stranger expressed gratitude for the coolness and comfort of the house. A very gratifying friendship developed.
At the time my complexion was in a distressing condition, and I wore a veil whenever possible. Physicians and druggists had tried to help me. This stranger said that Christian Science could heal this condition, and she related the healing of a friend who had had a similar case of acne.
