God's Plan

Do you feel that you are drifting in a sea of uncertainties? Do you long to find assurance that God's creation is planned and that you have a particular place in the Father's plan? Christian Science gives this assurance, and it demonstrates the divine plan, bringing it to earth in practical ways. In the measure that this Science is understood, the divine plan becomes apparent—in history as well as in the experience of the individual. Things, people, experiences, fit together. The feeling that one omnipotent Being is in control grows stronger and stronger.

A dictionary definition of the word "plan" is "an orderly arrangement of parts of an overall design or objective." The overall objective of God's plan is to express the highest possible good, and each of us has his function in this universal expression, which includes health and joy and deathless life for man, made in God's perfect likeness.

In the truth of being, which Christian Science reveals, divine Principle is the planner, and the order of heaven is the plan. Jesus spoke constantly of heaven, and everything he said and did pointed to the need of mankind to have God's plan brought into view. He taught his followers to pray (Matt. 6:10): "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Here is the divine plan for men.
