IF I AM LIFTED UP

If I am lifted up, our Saviour said,
I'll draw to me all men from far and wide—
The tired and the tortured and the sad;
The doubters and the prisoners of pride.
The troubled world will feel Truth's touch—at length;
Again the deaf will hear, the blind will see:
The aged will once more renew their strength,
And disillusioned youth will waken—free!
If I am lifted up.
