"THE MEEK WILL HE GUIDE"

I know God guides;

But do I really let Him point the way
And listen when Love speaks, or turn aside?
Does self-will dim direction, lead astray?
Is unwise judgment unrelinquished pride?

It I would know

Purpose and plan the Father has for me,
Undreamed-of joy in wisdom's way would find.
I must desire in deep humility
To be obedient to directing Mind.

Then I shall learn

To yield impatient plans, let striving cease.
In childlike trust all sense of self resign,
To find within unfoldment's gentle peace
And see revealed God's infinite design.
