I had the privilege of being reared in Christian Science and regularly attending a Sunday School. For this I am extremely grateful to my parents.

In my childhood I was healed of earaches, of paralysis of one side of my face, of so-called children's diseases, and of a cracked tibia; during all my studies Science was a precious help. In everyday life I have always found that when we turn to God and recognize man's divine sonship, as Science teaches us to do we receive all we need—be it health, guidance in making decisions, supply, or strength to accomplish that which we feel is our duty.

I should like specially to tell of a healing of malaria, which was for me rich in lessons. Having gone to a tropical country known for its extreme climate, I thought I would do well to accept the material health rules in use in that country, departing to this extent from the teachings of my religion. I followed these rules carefully, but that did not prevent me from suffering attacks of malaria by the end of a year. I then turned completely from Science and underwent the medical treatment which was provided for in my contract. But the attacks of fever did not stop.
