I should like to relate a healing...

I should like to relate a healing which was brought about solely through the application of the truths of Christian Science and for which I can never express enough gratitude.

While I was shoveling snow from the driveway one day, I injured my elbow. A quick look revealed a dislocated bone in the elbow and a twisted and distorted arm. There was a great sense of pain. However, my first thought was one of gratitude for the fact that my husband had not left for work and was able to help me into the house.

Then I had to make a decision. On two previous occasions, one when I was a young child and had not become interested in Christian Science and the other when I had just started to study Science, I had broken and dislocated bones in my arms. Each time the bones were set and the arms put in a cast. Now such questions came to mind as: "Will the bone adjust properly if I do not have it set? Will the arm resume its normal shape and will I be able to use it with complete freedom?"
