THE BELOVED OF LOVE
Man
the beloved, the blessed of the Father:
Such richness here, such cherishing and grace!
No dream-sense tiller of the soil but, rather,
The royal son, secure in Love's embrace.
Man in God's image, perfect, pure creation,
Spotless idea, eternal as his source:
Shouting for joy (not bowed in desolation),
As stars in unison sing in their course.
Spiritual man (there never was a mortal),
Complete and satisfied, joyous and free.
Radiant reflection of the Mind immortal,
His home is heaven, his view infinity.
