Maintaining One's Morale
By definition, "morale" includes such states of thought as confidence in the future, a sense of purpose and usefulness, dedication to a common task. Individuals are fortunate, indeed, who are able to maintain their morale under all circumstances. And Christian Science is here to enable everyone to do this.
This Science holds to the fact that when one's morale springs from a conviction that the divine will for man is good and must prevail, one can look to the future with confidence. One who is assured that under the divine government the future of each individual is secure does not allow his vision to become blurred by doubt and anxiety and so does not become the prey of predatory suggestions or malicious threatenings.
Holding to a sense of man's inseparability from God, who is Love, one is not in danger of having fear replace confidence in his thought, and he is able to maintain a courageous attitude toward whatever is required of him. He holds to a sense of devotion and loyalty to what he understands to be right, knowing that right must eventually prevail.
