About eight years ago, when in great need of healing, I visited my husband's office, and he walked with me as I was leaving, aware of my need for help. Every medical possibility had been explored in an attempt to cure or alleviate migraine, accompanied by high blood pressure, and also food allergies, I was in a very disturbed emotional state and had been told by my physician that he could not continue to prescribe the only drug which brought some relief.

I realized that I had gone as far as I could along this path. My husband knew it too, and said quietly, "Why don't you go and borrow a copy of Science and Health? You have always spoken about it, and perhaps it might help." I thought about this for a few minutes. I had gone to a Christian Science Sunday School in my youth, but had later completely given up its teachings. It required a great effort to act on my husband's recommendation, but, realizing the loving thought behind it. I decided to go to a Christian Science Reading Room, where I borrowed a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

I started to read it as if I had never seen it before and was unable to put it down. Within a week I knew that I could discard all the drugs I had been taking, and the improvement was so marked that my husband and I were both quite amazed. I never had to resort to medicines again, and soon my improved health and appearance were commented on by friends.
