Effective Communication

We all have been witnessing vast improvements in the field of communications. We can now dial in seconds a telephone call to a friend hundreds of miles away. We can cross the ocean by jet plane in a few hours. Satellites provide communication links around the globe. And yet millions of people still suffer from the lack of communication within their families, with next door neighbors, at work, in industry, and in national and world affairs.

This contrast indicates that effective communication depends on more than contact by material means. Communication is an interchange of thoughts, a mutual understanding. Effective communication is in reality spiritual.

Mrs. Eddy declares in Science and Health (p. 213), "Divine Science reveals sound as communicated through the senses of Soul—through spiritual understanding."
