Daily Progress
Mrs. Eddy makes the following statement on page 233 of Science and Health: "Every day makes its demands upon us for higher proofs rather than professions of Christian power."
Perhaps never before in the history of Christian Science has the summons come so forcibly to the students of this Science to advance, or progress, in their demonstration of Science. This Science is a practical religion, for it is founded on activity and proof, not on theory alone. Each day presents the opportunity to lift thought into higher realms, to manifest the Christ. Truth, in daily work, whether it be in the home, on the farm, at the office, at school, or in the service of one's country.
Each one who has the desire to progress can go forward daily with prayerful vigor to heal sickness and sin. We close our house door firmly against wind and rain; so our thoughts can be just as firmly closed against the belief of sickness and sin. This is one of the first steps of progress.
