"The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it" (Isa. 40:5). When I read those words in the King James Version of the Bible I knew it was time for me to write testimony of gratitude for all the wonderful blessings which I have experienced during the past thirty years, since taking up the study of Christian Science.

My very first healing was that of a headache which was so acute that I had to stop driving and ask my passenger, who was a Christian Scientist, to take over for me. While he was driving he told me some truths of God and His spiritual idea, man, which my thirsty consciousness drank in, for I was indeed thirsting for living waters. After traveling only a few miles I found myself free from the intense pain, and from that day I accepted the teachings of Christian Science as the revelation of divine Truth.

A year or two later this friend became my husband, and we have seen many demonstrations of the healing power of the Christ, Truth, through the years of loving companionship. During the years of World War II my husband and I were sustained and protected through turning without reservation to promises of the Bible: Psalms 23, 91, and 121 were of particular importance to us.
