I wish to express my deep gratitude...
I wish to express my deep gratitude for the wonderful gift of Christian Science and to tell of a healing which I had several years ago.
I had a severe cold, high fever, and a very uncomfortable cough. I had to stay in bed several days, and my son, who is not a Christian Scientist, came to see me every day. He was very understanding and did not at first ask me to send for a doctor, knowing that I was doing prayerful work for myself. But when some time had passed without any improvement in my condition, he said to me one day: "Now, Mother, this cannot continue. I will give you two days and then come back, and if you are not any better, I will send for the doctor."
I then called a practitioner and asked her to give me treatment. When my son returned in two days, he found me fully dressed and sitting in a chair knitting. When he saw me happy and well, his eyes filled with tears, and I do not know who was happier—he or I.
