One day in our driveway I sustained...
One day in our driveway I sustained an injury to my back. I was unable to move, and it took two people to carry me into the house. All the time I kept prayerfully declaring that this accident was not true because not of God, good, and that man is the child of the living God.
A practitioner came and remained with me for several hours. Prior to this, I had been doing some specific study on the Lord's Prayer, and the words, "Lead us not into temptation" (Matt. 6:13), kept coming to me. I prayed, "Oh, lead me not into the temptation to believe in a power apart from God!" The suggestion came that perhaps I should be X-rayed; but I had taken my stand for Principle, and I could not be tempted by another power.
Later in the day, Mrs. Eddy's healing of injuries sustained in a fall she had on the ice came to me. She was healed when she asked for the Bible and turned to the ninth chapter of Matthew and read of the healing of the man sick of the palsy.
