RADIO PROGRAM NO. 140 - What Preserves Health?

INTERVIEWER: Many people are eager to find more dependable ways of preserving health. An article in a national newsmagazine sometime ago indicated that a feeling of security is important in maintaining health. Do you see any particular relationship between health and such things as security and harmony in everyday life?

SPEAKER: Yes, I do. Preserving health in the body and harmony in daily life have this in common: They both have a spiritual basis or foundation. In Christian Science we understand that harmony and well-being have a practical, provable, spiritual basis. We speak of their basis as spiritual, as opposed to physical, because God is their source. And that which is spiritual comes into our experience through thought that acknowledges God, Spirit, as the source of all that is real.

INTERVIEWER: There's spiritual basis, then, for preserving health?
