"As a divine idea, giving must necessarily be a God-governed activity"

Christ Jesus taught his followers to ask God, the Giver of all good, for all they needed and to expect that their needs would be satisfied. He said, "Ask, and it shall be given you" (Matt. 7:7). He also taught them to demonstrate their sonship with the heavenly Father by giving in the manner in which God gives.
