Let patience have her perfect...
"Let patience have her perfect work" (James 1:4). As a child I attended a Christian Science Sunday School. Although I drifted away in my teens, seeking worldly pleasures, I always felt there was something in life I was missing. I went to other churches, but was never satisfied with their worship of God.
After I had been married for several years, I developed arthritis. It became so painful that I was visiting a doctor for injections to relieve the pain. I also developed a nasal growth and sinus congestion for which I underwent surgery to no avail. I appeared to be a very miserable mortal.
My husband was suffering from a urinary infection which had troubled him for years. Doctors had not been able to clear it up, and he was absent from work often.
