I have had many healings and proofs of God's care. The depth of my gratitude far exceeds what words can say. A few proofs of healing follow.

In my youth I had a bad fall, and afterward I was troubled occasionally with severe headaches. Through the lessons learned in the Christian Science Sunday School, which I attended regularly, I saw that there was no need to have this difficulty. As I applied the truths that I was learning, the headaches ceased.

When I was called to take my physical examination for the Army during World War II, the lower part of one of my legs was giving me difficulty, being swollen to twice its size. The doctor named a particular bone disease and promptly classified me 4F. At this same time, I was on a college football team, and a game was but a few days away. Through complete reliance on Truth, I was able to play in the game, running at top speed when necessary. Shortly after this the leg returned to its normal size. In a few months I was reexamined for the Army and accepted. No sign of the previous condition could be found.
