Mercy and Forgiveness

There are many people who have wanted to forgive those who have in some way robbed them of their happiness and peace of mind, who have hurt their feelings, as the saying goes. But they have not learned how to forgive. Perhaps they have cherished resentment over a long period of time and rehearsed the circumstances which were disturbing, rehearsed these in their own thinking, even speaking of them to another.
