I found Christian Science as the result of having taken some of the periodicals from a distribution rack, and I desire to express my gratitude for Science, the way of Life, and for all the avenues which Mrs. Eddy provided for its dissemination.

I had been told by the doctors that my intestinal tract was not functioning properly and that there were numerous adhesions. In particular, the lifeless state of certain muscles had caused a rupturelike condition, which gave me much discomfort and prevented proper elimination. After I began the study of Christian Science, the adhesions and constipation were healed, and I forgot about the other condition in my absorption in my study.

However, in June, 1959, when my older daughter had her third baby, I was called to her home to care for her two other children, then aged two and five years. About the second day I was there, ironing and doing all the housework and carrying the children, which i had not done in years, the rupturelike condition became apparent. It was then that I realized for the first time that I had had no difficulty from it since the healing of the other conditions.
