One of the surest tests of the Christian life, and yet a quality so often neglected, is that of possessing a thankful heart! And this applies not simply at the special season we call "Thanksgiving," season we all times. To all of us have come countless gifts from the loving hands of God but, most unfortunately, not all of us cultivate a heart of thankfulness for these blessings.

The spirit of thanksgiving does not depend, nearly so much as we sometimes imagine, upon the extent of our material blessings. If it did, the most wealthy would be the most grateful. But this is not so! ...
