As Christian Scientists we know...
As Christian Scientists we know that when we are solving any problem, the greatest mesmerism we must deal with is that of fear. I am very grateful to God for leading me along "the paths of righteousness" (Ps. 23:3) into Christian Science when I needed it most.
My life was filled with the fear of death after a severe attack of coronary thrombosis. I also lived in fear of lack, and I was emotionally and morally unstable. Then I saw a dear friend's healing of facial injuries through Christian Science.
I had a small part in that healing. His practitioner asked me to read to him the Bible Lesson, which is outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly, and from the writings of Mrs. Eddy, since he could not see at the time. I was weak from illness and heavy in heart, but the truth, beauty, and love of the words of Mrs. Eddy filled me with a radiant light as of Easter morning. My friend was completely healed, without a scar remaining, and I became stronger each day.
