Preparation for Progress

We are all interested in progress. How shall we prepare for it? Pertinently, the Bible declares (Prov. 16:1), "The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord." He who seeks through spiritual progress an increased understanding of God and of man's relation to Him will find indicated in these words the source of the answer to his question.

Christ Jesus said (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Such searching prepares us for the progress we experience, both humanly and spiritually, when we accept the truth of God and man as taught in Christian Science.

Spirit, God, prepares us to receive divine revelations, and from Spirit we receive them. Such revelations are demonstrated in the destruction of error, since they replace the misconceptions of mortal thinking with the pure consciousness of Truth, establishing harmony and satisfaction and excluding false beliefs, such as fear and incompleteness.
