Joyous and Effortless Demonstration

"The daily effort to practice Truth . . . makes us more
proficient in eliminating beliefs of error"

When a friend said to the writer, "I have not made my demonstration," he understood what she meant, but he sensed, at the same time, that she felt that laborious effort was needed to overcome an error which seemed true to her. Thinking of this later, he remembered how joyously and effortlessly Jesus demonstrated the omnipotence of God, restoring right activity, vision, and even life, immediately. The Master was the true demonstrator of the power of Christ, Truth, over every suggestion of evil, and he is our Way-shower. Can we hope to attain the same degree of dominion?

This question is answered by a statement made by Jesus (John 14:12): "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." This indicates that accomplishing what Jesus did depends upon the quality of our thinking. Do we really believe that the Christ, Truth, heals?

Jesus understood, acknowledged, and continually lived the spiritual facts of being, and this enabled him to demonstrate God's blessings so easily. He practiced the truth wherever he went, never doubting the result.
