I have always been glad that I had the blessing of class instruction very early in my study of Christian Science, for it was the help I needed most while our daughters were growing up. I shall always remember the harmony of those two weeks of instruction, which provided me with a good and solid spiritual foundation on which to build.

Nothing but Christian Science treatment was used in our home to heal so-called children's diseases and other difficulties, with one exception. On one occasion my husband insisted that I purchase a laxative for our first baby when she was in a serious condition. When it failed to help her, continued reliance on Truth alone brought a permanent healing. I was greatly helped by Mrs. Eddy's words on page 283 of Science and Health, "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action."

An early healing I experienced was that of a broken bone in one ankle. I was carrying wood when the ankle twisted, and I heard a loud snap. I set the foot down firmly, declaring that there can be no breakage in divine Mind and that accidents cannot occur in God's kingdom, the only kingdom there is.
