Progress in Our Sunday Schools

Branch churches and societies continue to report progress in the Sunday Schools. In some instances the Sunday School enrollment has grown larger than the church membership. Many-churches indicate that the Sunday School has increased so that it is necessary to hold two sessions. Others are placing classes in every available space in the church in order to accommodate the ever-growing number of pupils.

A church in California, holding one session of Sunday School before the church service, writes: '"With the growth of the Sunday School a second session was started to coincide with the church service. Attendance increased steadily among both the regular pupils and the visitors. Parents of a number of pupils who are enrolled in the eleven o'clock session are now attending the church service."

Some churches are finding it necessary to provide more adequate quarters for the growing Sunday Schools. A few are erecting new Sunday School buildings, while others are remodeling the edifices in order to provide more attractive Sunday School facilities. A church in Colorado writes: "The need and desire for a Sunday School room in our church building have been fulfilled by the remodeling of the balcony, which was not being used. The walls and doors were insulated to make them soundproof. The floors and stairs were carpeted, and needed furniture was purchased. Thus it has been possible to hold Sunday School at the same time as the church service."
