Although I was brought up as...
Although I was brought up as a Christian Scientist and had had many healings, such as those of so-called children's diseases, constipation, spinal curvature, and a back injury, I was apathetic about my religion until I reached maturity.
A visit to an inspiring Annual Meeting of The Mother Church began to awaken me. Then the following winter a dear friend with whom I lived passed on. My needs were, beautifully met by friends, and a smaller apartment was offered to me before I had even begun to look for one. In size, price, and location it was exactly what I needed. However, I was unable to overcome the sense of grief and personal loss which attacked me most severely during the singing of the hymns in church.
That spring I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner for a skin infection on my eyelids. During the next week I received my healing, and main other proofs of God's power unfolded, including the sudden manifestation of greater efficiency in my work.
