Over twenty years ago a teacher in a Christian Science Sunday School put her hand compassionately on my shoulder and spoke words of assurance that man, the spiritual idea of God, eternal Life, is deathless. The understanding which prompted her to speak as she did, together with the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner whom I had asked to treat me, healed me permanently that Sunday of a heart condition that I had had for over a year. I required no convalescence and was able immediately to assume demands made upon me by the passing on of my mother.

Shortly after this my father passed on, and I earnestly prayed for one specific, spiritual fact that would heal me of grief. I opened our textbook, Science and Health, to page 586 where Mrs. Eddy gives "eternal Life" as part of the definition of "Father." I knew that Father-Mother is One, not two. For the first time I clearly saw that man has one Parent, God, who is the only creator of all. This understanding sustained me and ended my grief.

How grateful I am to Mrs. Eddy for sharing Christian Science with us! Young people under the age of twenty are fortunate, indeed, to be able to attend the Sunday School and receive instruction in the Science of being, which helps to solve all problems by explaining the works and words of Christ Jesus.
