I have for a long time had a strong desire to submit a testimony for publication in order to express my gratitude for a healing I received through Christian Science.

In 1959 I was greatly troubled with dizziness and headaches as well as vomiting, I could not move without everything about me seeming to swim. One morning a doctor was sent for, and he told me that the nerves governing balance were inflamed. He gave me medicine, and I was confined to my bed for three weeks. When I got up again, things were just as before, and at the slightest movement of my head I would pitch over.

At this point I knew very little about Christian Science and had not that full confidence in God which it bestows. I had an examination again at a hospital in the hope of getting help for my illness, but was told that they could not help me. It was in this state of despair that I went to a Christian Science practitioner, who earnestly began to pray for me. She declared among other things that because God is All-in-all, there is but one Mind, that in this one Mind there is always balance, and that there is no power besides God.
