An understanding of Truth as taught in Christian Science has supported, guided, healed, and blessed me and the members of my family for over forty years. There have been healings of boils, a misplaced organ, blood poisoning, an injured arm, hemorrhoids, a sore throat, arthritis, warts, and acute indigestion.

Another healing was that of colon trouble. I suffered from indigestion and had much pain, and the fear that I had a growth was very strong. Although the way was dark at times and my progress was slow, I learned a little each day of the spiritual nature of man as God's image and likeness. At different times I had the help of Christian Science practitioners, and I studied the Bible, together with Science and Health and the other writings of Mrs. Eddy, daily.

There was much self-pity, self-will, and impatience to be overcome in my thought. Mrs. Eddy's words on page 242 of Science and Health, "In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error,— self-will, self-justification, and self-love—which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death," gave me something to work with. I began to put into practice the spiritual law of Love and to make progress. During these years I learned many lessons and experienced other healings, for which I am grateful.
