During the many years that I have known about Christian Science, I have had many physical healings, business transactions have been worked out quickly and harmoniously, and a way was provided for me to purchase a house when it seemed completely impossible to do so.

A number of years ago I was suffering from the effects of a virus. Because of it I was not able to do my housework or take part in any of my usual activities. I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner and asked for treatment by prayer. There were times during the nights when I feared that I was passing on. A member of my family and the practitioner prayed earnestly to help me through these nights. I did improve a little, but it seemed that I could not gain strength.

At that point I felt it was up to me to search my own consciousness and correct my thinking. I spent a great deal of time studying the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings and in prayer.
