RADIO PROGRAM No. 410 - The Bible Unlocked
SPEAKER: For centuries there's been no book more widely circulated than the Holy Bible, no book more generally loved and respected. And yet to many people no book seems more puzzling, more contradictory, more difficult to understand.
This is the way it appeared to our guest, Mrs. J. J. Kaiser, of Clinton, Oklahoma. But she found the key that unlocked the rich treasures of the Scriptures. In the process, she gained a deep spiritual education. And she's going to tell what this has meant in her life.
MRS. KAISER: I'd always loved the Bible, but many things in it puzzled me. In fact, it was the questions I'd had about it since childhood that led me to investigate Christian Science. I used to wonder about what seemed to be contradictions in the Bible, and I simply couldn't find answers that satisfied me. For instance, I thought if God is all-power, all-presence, and all true knowledge, what am I, if I am His image and likeness? Or what is God? I prayed so diligently because I knew that such pain and misery as I was experiencing couldn't really be a legitimate part of anybody's life. So I literally got down on my knees and prayed to be shown what the truth was.
