My family came into Christian Science...

My family came into Christian Science through the healing of my cousin, who had a serious nervous condition which the doctors could not cure. When her mother heard about Science, she obtained the help of a Christian Science practitioner for her daughter, who was healed.

My aunt wrote to my mother and told her about Science. My mother was in need of healing, because, as a result of anemia, she had been a semi-invalid for years. She accepted Christian Science with all her heart, was restored to good health, and enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School. I learned truths in the Sunday School that have helped me for many years. As the result of an understanding of the ninety-first Psalm, I have had wonderful protection, for instance, when traveling by train, airplane, car, and bus.

I was able to overcome grief at the passing on of my mother and, recently, of my aunt. I had a quick healing of a contagious rash. By realizing the truth of "the scientific statement of being" on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I overcame the fear of passing the condition on to my husband and to my children. Knowing that "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness," I realized that all good is actually mine through reflection of God and that nothing harmful can be transmitted from one idea to another, nor can it exist in God's creation. After that my healing soon came.
