Karol's Healing
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Karol had known about Christian Science from early childhood and had had many healings through its teachings. She was a gentle child but very timid and found it hard to use the Christ, Truth, to quiet her fears.
Every year she was troubled with recurring earache, and although she was always helped by Christian Science treatment, the following year she would again suffer from it.
One spring she had an especially severe time. She and her mother, with the help of a practitioner, had to work more diligently than ever. During the time that she was absent from school, Karol studied the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly each day, and her mother read her "A Child's Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Ella H. Hay. Each day her understanding of God increased.
