Demonstrating Demand
The account of finding money in the mouth of a fish, as Christ Jesus asked one of his disciples to do, has encouraged many to lift their thoughts to God in the hope of solving a problem of lack. Jesus demonstrated that supply is always at hand, but he also demonstrated just as convincingly in his own life that there is always a demand for the services of one who understands God's relationship to man. In Mark (1:33,45) we read: "All the city was gathered together at the door," and, "They came to him from every quarter."
Today individuals who are faced with problems of lack may need to give attention to demonstrating demand as well as supply. Through Christian Science one can demonstrate a true demand for his services and find his needs abundantly provided for.
True demand is more than a clamoring of people for the skills, goods, or services one may have to offer. True demand is God's demand upon His children, the demand that they manifest God's perfect qualities.
