Writing from the Heart
Christ Jesus took his message of the kingdom of God to the people, and those who were willing to listen to it were blessed. This was true also of his disciples and of our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave herself unstintingly to the task of sharing her spiritual discovery with others.
She writes in Science and Health p. 570), "Millions of unprejudiced minds—simple seekers for Truth, weary wanderers, athirst in the desert—are waiting and watching for rest and drink." Then she adds, "Give them a cup of cold water in Christ's name, and never fear the consequences."
Contributors to our periodicals cannot possibly know of the number of hands in which each periodical will be placed, nor can they know the urgent need of many of those who will read it. but when they consider what their own needs are. and have been, and what their contribution may do for someone else, thee will pray to divest their articles of personal responsibility, self-sufficiency or deficiency, and write from the heart.
