I should like to share this testimony to show that when we have Christian Science to work with and when we know that God meets all human needs, we may have a harmonious, normal home life in spite of untoward circumstances.

Several years ago I was left to rear two young children by myself. Well-meaning friends and relatives warned me that it was going to be very difficult for me, especially since one child was a boy. They said that we could not expect to have the things we needed or had been accustomed to have in the past; we would have to learn to do without them. I was overwhelmed In a sense of futility and a feeling that, although I was still voting in years, the best part of my life was over and that there was nothing to look forward to.

When a sense of loneliness and fear became too great for me to cope with, I turned to a good friend who was a Christian Science practitioner and poured out my troubles to him. He said that indeed my life was not over, but that a new phase of it was beginning. He pointed out that now was my opportunity to begin to use some of the truths of Christian Science which i had been studying for a short time. He asked if I would be willing to put my hand in God's and let Him lead the way and supply all our needs.
