When I first became acquainted...
When I first became acquainted with Christian Science, I was seeking Truth earnestly. A great deal of unhappiness and the loss of beloved children had led me to question the reason for my sad experience. But I did not receive an answer. My thinking and seeking lad come up against a seemingly impenetrable wall, and I was afraid I would never find an answer.
However, when Christian Science was offered to me I had the blessed experience of beginning to understand God and His spiritual creation. My limited understanding expanded, and the fruits of healing became manifest. Through the prayers of the practitioner who had introduced me to Science, I was healed of an internal growth, which disappeared when I began to glimpse the truth and accept it obediently and confidently.
Constipation, from which I had suffered for many years, also yielded through the help of this practitioner, and the certainty of the ever-operative presence of God has often healed me quickly of minor ills.
