SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF BEING
A problem in the primary sense is a question put forth for solution. In the solving of such a problem a truth is brought to light. Christian Science teaches that for every problem, there is a correct solution. Perhaps the major problem confronting humanity is "What is being?" Christ Jesus solved it in his resurrection. Today as a result of Mrs. Eddy's revelation of Christian Science the world has for its utilization the scientific rules needed for the working out of the perplexing question as to the nature of life and being.
In order properly to demonstrate the truth, one should not start from the premise that discord is real. The only solution for discord is its destruction. The appropriate question to ask when inharmony seems to present itself is, "What is harmony:'" When one understands the spiritual significance of harmony, he is properly equipped to destroy inharmony and to demonstrate concord in his life.
Jesus said to his followers (John 8:31, 32), "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
