I am extremely grateful that by God's grace I was led to Christian Science. It is my most cherished possession, and for more than thirty-one years it has been and still is my staff and support in difficult situations. Many times I have experienced protection and divine guidance, and in cases of accidents and burns, I have experienced healing.

For several months I had been troubled with severe rheumatic pains in my knees. Again and again I declared that man does not have a material body, but that as God's reflection his identity is spiritual. At all times, therefore, we are partakers of good only, for God is Love. I had the assistance of a Christian Science practitioner and am now able to go on hikes in the mountains for hours at a time, and I am happy and grateful.

At one time I was out walking, and as I was going down a very steep road, I heard the sound of sleigh bells. I hugged the wall as I always do when sleighs are about to pass and did not look back but continued on my way. When the sleigh with the horse, which was out of control, was abreast of me, the singletree grazed my left leg. All I did was to sink to my knees. It was a wonder that I was not dragged along with the sleigh.
