Like thousands of others, I have had many healings and other demonstrations of God's power since I became a student of Christian Science. I am unspeakably grateful for the healing of the drinking habit, which was a most difficult situation for me and which as the years went by was "nothing bettered, but rather grew worse" (Mark 5:26).

In less than two weeks' time, after treatment was requested of a Christian Science practitioner, I was completely healed. Since then, more than twenty-five years ago, I have not had the slightest desire for alcoholic beverages of any kind. The healing of the smoking habit of many years' duration quickly followed.

Christian Science has also been a wonderful help to me in business. Christ Jesus says (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." As I sincerely seek "first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness" and give no thought to the things added, harmony reigns, and useful and helpful business activity is manifested and maintained in my experience, blessing others as well as myself.
