HOW REAL IS GOLIATH?

There are no Goliaths in the kingdom of heaven. On page 587 of Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy gives the following definition of "heaven": "Harmony; the reign of Spirit; government by divine Principle; spirituality; bliss; the atmosphere of Soul."

Whatever appears as less than perfect harmony in any thought or activity is a challenge to the student of Christian Science to prove that "government by divine Principle" is the established law of being. Evil, when recognized and dealt with at its inception in thought, can never become a fearsome spectacle calling itself a Goliath.

The central theme of the Bible is the supremacy of spiritual power over material belief. Christ Jesus said (John 6:63), "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing."
