Our family came into Christian Science...

Our family came into Christian Science when I was quite young. The original step was taken by my father, who was dissatisfied with the orthodox religions, and in his search for a satisfying explanation of God and man, he found Christian Science.

Our family's entry into this practical religion was accelerated by a wonderful healing of my mother. She was seriously ill with an internal abscess; and the doctors said that she would not recover, but if by some miracle she did, she would be an invalid. A practitioner was called, and a speedy and complete healing followed.

I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School at this time and continued attending there until I was twenty. Then I joined a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I also joined The Mother Church.
