Christian Science has brought so...

Christian Science has brought so much good to me and mine that in counting my blessings, I do not know where to begin. I had always been a very stanch believer in an orthodox faith; but I was led to attend a Christian Science service held in a little country home, and I realized at once that this was the religion I wanted. I began to read and ponder the Christian Science literature, and before long I renounced my former faith and was accepted as a member of The Mother Church.

I should like to relate some outstanding blessings I have had through Christian Science. Severe travel sickness had always been a trial. To illustrate the mental nature of sickness is not difficult in my case, for I had only to see a double-decker bus or read about a storm at sea to experience nausea. But this condition has been entirely overcome through my study of Christian Science.

At one time there was a long spell when my husband was unemployed. Through the work of a Christian Science practitioner, it was my joy constantly to feel the very presence of the Christ, although the material condition was slow in yielding. I derived much comfort from a verse in the Bible (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you," and from this statement in Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 494): "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
