BLESSINGS, NOT REVERSALS

Reliance on God, trust in the unfolding of truth, and confidence in the availability of the ever-present Christ, God's idea, introduce blessings into human experience. These blessings indicate irreversible good which neither fear nor doubt can overshadow. "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it," we read in Proverbs (10:22).

According to Christian Science, the source of all blessings is God, Mind, Spirit, Soul. These blessings are constant; they are available to each individual, irrespective of rank, scholarly attainments, or ancestral background. God, the divine source of all good, pours forth good alone to each of His children without limit, hindrance, or reversal, and human beings can demonstrate this fact.

To enjoy the blessings which are always at hand, we must open our thought to accept them. One way to do this is to be grateful for the good we now have. Also we need to increase our understanding of Spirit, God, and to express spiritual qualities, such as love, joy, and goodness. Mary Baker Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (Pref., p vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings."
