When Christian Science was first...
When Christian Science was first presented to me by a loving friend, my skepticism of its teachings vanished when I realized that it was the application of Christian Science which gave this friend the poise, serenity, and loving manner I had always been aware of in her attitude toward others.
The very first page of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, convinced me that this was the truth I had been seeking for so many years. The need for wearing glasses to read was overcome through that first reading of the textbook. The truth poured into my thought, and I felt as if the whole basis of my life were being completely changed.
Since that time our family of six have had many demonstrations of the effectiveness of right thinking and acting. Our four children have been remarkably free from so-called children's diseases because we have relied radically on God as the great Physician.
