In Psalms (68:19) we read, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation." How truly wonderful it is to know that each day God indeed loads us with benefits, with protection, health, guidance, wisdom, joy, and love!

About six years ago, I had for nearly two months in my shoulders and arms pains so intense that I could not sleep at night or fasten my clothes in the back. Each day I studied the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly and read articles from the periodicals; but it was not until I heard the weekly Bible Lesson read from the desk in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, one Sunday that I saw that the flesh profited nothing in the presence of the Lord.

I pondered this truth the rest of the day, knowing most earnestly that I was always in the presence of the Lord and that flesh had no power to disturb me. I could see more clearly that, as Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 475), "Man is idea, the image, of Love; he is not physique." I had no more trouble.
