When I was a child one of the...
When I was a child one of the first healings that I remember experiencing in Christian Science was that of a broken bone in my ankle. My father straightened my foot to its proper position, and no one else ever touched it. Fearful friends suggested that if the bone was not set, my leg would perhaps be all out of shape, and I should walk with a limp.
My father was a new student of Science; but the truths that he had learned gave him complete confidence in God's willingness to heal and the availability of His power to do the healing. He knew it would then be done perfectly.
I was kept off the foot for a few days; but on the ninth day something was taking place on the lawn that interested me. I completely forgot my foot and jumped off a three-foot high porch and ran to join the game. My leg was as straight and as shapely as the other from that day on, and I have never had the slightest limp.
